Rosa is looking for a QA Engineer !

Rosa is on a mission to improve health outcomes. We want people to live longer and better lives with the increased use of digital healthcare. To realize this goal, Rosa is developing a patient app.
We are looking for product-minded QA Engineers that will contribute with their talent and passion to developing delightful digital experiences for patients.

We grew from 3 founders to 40+ team members (mostly engineering and product) in 2.5 years.

While Rosa offers excellent terms, the real reasons you want to apply are purpose and impact. At Rosa, you will directly measure your contribution to our societal mission.

Rosa has offices in Brussels (Central station), but remote work is possible (European timezone).

Tech stack

We build products on the web platform using TypeScript, mostly with Angular, Node.js (Nest), and Qwik. We store data using MongoDB (on Atlas). We test our code using Jest (units), Storybook (components), and Cypress (end-to-end). Thanks to Nx, we manage our entire source code in a mono-repo. Each commit is tested, built, and deployed on AWS. We continuously ship to production when we merge a Pull Request.

How we work

We work with short, agile development cycles using GitHub,
Figma, Confluence, and Jira.

  •  You will be part of a small, autonomous team composed of devs, designers, and a product manager.
  • We communicate and work asynchronously to have large chunks of time, allowing deep work.

Non-tech skills

  • You are product-oriented; tech helps to solve problems. It is a means, not a goal
  • You are an open-minded and inclusive individual, as well as a strong team-player
  • You are analytical and organized
  • You get things done and communicate it well while doing it
  • You are a critical, curious & questioning thinker
  • You are fluent in English

Your profile

  • Degree in engineering, IT, computer sciences, or equivalent through experience
  • At least 3 years of experience testing web / mobile applications
  • Strong test automation expertise
  • Demonstrated experience in writing automated test scripts using Cypress or Playwright
  • Familiar with Javascript / Typescript and Jest
  • Nice to have:
    • Mobile applications test automation experience
    • Hands-on experience in setting-up CI/CD pipelines
  • Familiar with standard coding tools (Git, IDEs, etc.)

Remote working friendly

While the team is mostly located in Belgium, one of our developers lives with his wife in Thailand, and we have team members living across all Europe. We have a flexible schedule, allowing parents to spend time with their children and/or sport lovers to go outside.

Our office is located on top of the central station in Brussels. It is easily accessible by train and other public transports. Some team members join the office every day. Others join for anything between a couple of days a week to a couple of days a month.

We have a strong culture

One of the biggest challenges in building a startup is to create and keep a strong and healthy culture while growing. At Rosa, we invested a lot of time talking about values and culture. Our values may be big words, but they guide everything we do at Rosa. We align our words and actions with these values, letting them inspire our work.

One of the biggest challenges in building a startup is to create and keep a strong and healthy culture while growing. At Rosa, we invested a lot of time talking about values and culture. Our values may be big words, but they guide everything we do at Rosa. We align our words and actions with these values, letting them inspire our work.

Sometimes, when two values collide, we have to make difficult choices. We sorted out some of these difficult decisions through tradeoffs. You will find the value tradeoffs on the team page if you scroll past the pictures of some team members.
These value tradeoffs must resonate with you. Otherwise, there is no point in joining Rosa.

Once a month, we have a Town Hall meeting: a time to create alignment across the organization, review our performance, celebrate our achievements and, of course, a Q&A. Product teams have the opportunity to show off and demos their latest features and changes.

Team Events

We organize team events regularly. Sometimes, it is all about team building and having fun together (did you try axle throwing yet?).

Sometimes, it is about focusing on one specific topic for 2 days during a hackathon (yes, there might be a party after
coding 😇).

Process - elephant carpaccio

We have a custom process inspired by “Shape Up” from BaseCamp. We blend it together with what we
call “Elephant Carpaccio”.
